Gogol Bordello recently made a stop in Tempe, Arizona, at the Marquee Theater. I was able to drop in and catch Eugene Hutz bring the Arizona desert to life with a gypsy fever that had to be experienced to understand completely. There is something about the way the entire venue erupted when the band first came on stage that did not end until the final song was strummed on the violin. Canadian punkers Apostle of Hustle set the mood for the evening with an opening act that was well received and ensured the crowd was ready for the frenetic night ahead.
