BabyMetal releases new album: Metal Forth

Metal Forth is BABYMETAL’s boldest and most ambitious release to date—a vibrant journey that defies expectations and reshapes the boundaries of metal collaboration.

The album opens with the grand, genre-blending track “From Me To U,” featuring Poppy, and concludes with the powerful, stadium-ready anthem “White Flame.” It serves as both a map of metal’s diverse landscape and a declaration that BABYMETAL remains the undisputed trailblazer in the genre. Each guest appearance is a thoughtfully chosen addition that enhances the overall experience without overshadowing the band’s core identity. The emotional high point of the album is “My Queen,” featuring Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox. This song is an atmospheric blend of ethereal melodies and raw power, with the duet evoking a vulnerability that stands out above the rest of the tracks. Conversely, “RATATATA” injects energy into the album with its playful and exuberant style. The party-metal vibes from Electric Callboy serve as a perfect complement to BABYMETAL’s heavy sound, creating a track that encourages listeners to both smile and raise their horns in unison. On the heavier side, “Song 3” strikes a thrilling balance between brutality and beauty. Alex Terrible’s guttural vocals collide with Su-Metal’s crystalline voice in a powerful mix that is both savage and beautiful. Meanwhile, “METALI!!” features guitars laden with screams from Tom Morello, creating anthemic and insurgent sounds filled with righteous energy. This track feels like a rallying cry, urging all metalheads to raise their fists and go wild. Amid these extreme contrasts, “Sunset Kiss” provides a mesmerizing calm. With Polyphia’s technical finesse, it introduces a serene moment of melodic clarity—light, intricate, and surprisingly fitting within the album’s chaos. Metal Forth isn’t afraid to create space for moments of reflection and brightness, even amidst the intensity. If there is a central theme, it is that BABYMETAL simultaneously embraces every facet of the metal universe, and they are growing bolder as they move forward.
