Feb. 12, 2026 – Eidola, who kick off their Eviscerate/Mend tour on Feb. 22, have shared a standalone single and companion video ahead of the trek, releasing “Purity Ladder” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a8Je0ntdC0) this morning.

“This song was written as a snapshot of modern time to convey a deeply haunting sense of brutalism. Angular, heavy, concrete, and imposing,” vocalist Andrew Michael Wells says of the track, which is the band’s first release via 3DOT Recordings. “Regarding the lyrics, take a look at the world around you. Don’t it feel like we’re heading toward some glorious utopia or an unimaginable hellscape? What do you value most in existence and why? Is modernity everything you hoped it would be? Or are you still angry, tired, overwhelmed, and absolutely fed up? Society consumes, regurgitates, vomits up lies, and distorts reality. Welcome to the ‘Purity Ladder.’”

At the time of the tour announcement, guitarist Sergio Medina noted how the tour was something the band had long been thinking of: “This was always the vision for us…to bring Eviscerate and Mend to the stage the way their story was meant to unfold. In three cities, we’ll be performing both albums in full, back to back. Everywhere else, we’ll present a special set that blends the strongest moments from each record into one cohesive experience. After eighteen months off the road, we’re returning with our most ambitious show yet, grounded in gratitude and driven by a renewed fire. We can’t wait to share this chapter with everyone who’s been waiting for it.”

The tour sees the band out on a five-week trek across the U.S. celebrating the yin-yang companion albums Eviscerate and Mend. A trio of cities—Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago—will host special two-night performances, with one night devoted to each album, played in its entirety. Tickets for all shows are on-sale now via Eidolaband.com. Supporting The Eviscerate/Mend Tour are Nerv and Astronoid.

Eidola is Andrew Michael Wells (vocals), Sergio Medina (guitar), Matthew Dommer (vocals/guitar), Matthew Hansen (drums), Skylar Caporicci (guitar), and Reese Ortenberg (bass). The progressive post-hardcore band, formed in 2011 in Salt Lake City, are known for their complex compositions, thought-provoking lyrics, and dynamic live performances. On Eviscerate, Punk News said “What’s unusual about Eidola is their ability to wield melody with such obvious talent, but to twin it with heaviness and complexity…,” Metal Injection noted the band’s knack for “technical magic and catchy ass melodies,” and Under the Radar said the new collection “is undoubtedly some of their best work.” Eidola have released six full-length albums: Mend (2025), Eviscerate (2024), The Architect (2021), To Speak, To Listen (2017), Degeneraterra (2015), and The Great Glass Elephant (2012).
