Rev your engines! This Thursday, October 8, 2020 Born of Osiris will become the first metal band to play a live drive-in concert in partnership with Revolver Magazine. In addition to attending what could possibly be the only live metal concert of 2020, each attendee will also receive a gift bag including a limited, exclusive poster signed by the members of Born of Osiris. Fans will also be entered into a raffle for prizes such as Born of Osiris guitar picks, drumsticks, free merch, a signed tab book, a signed vinyl, and an original handwritten lyric sheet. Winners will also receive a free subscription to Revolver Magazine. Tickets for the drive-in show can be purchased here.
The event will take place in the band’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois at Lake Shore Drive-In in the parking lot of the Adler Planetarium. The scenic venue is situated in front of Lake Michigan with a clear view of the Chicago skyline in the background.
Tickets are $85 for a 2-person car pass or $160 for cars up to 4 people ($40 per person). If a group has more than 4 people, additional people can be added for $25 each.
Earlier this year, live performances came to an abrupt halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, bands have been coming up with clever alternatives to the traditional concert, mostly in the form of live-streamed performances, and now drive-ins. Earlier this year, Born of Osiris performed an at-home recording of “Analogs In A Cell” from their latest album, “The Simulation”.
