About Baby Plug:

Baby Plug always kept his eyes and ears opened. By listening to and watching those around him, the Atlanta-based MC absorbed the necessary skills to survive in the trap and, ultimately, tell his story through rap. Rising up from high school years split between the streets and County to acclaim from The Fader, Lyrical Lemonade, and more, the 19-year-old filtered these truths into his RECORDS/Epic Records debut EP, Topic.

Kicked out of middle school and eventually dropping out of ninth grade, he turned to the streets until winding up in Dekalb County for eight months. Upon returning home, he made a life-changing decision to rap. He uploaded a freestyle of Blocboy JB’s “Rover 2.0” and incited a buzz. He went on to drop the Its Baby Plug mixtape followed by Lemme Pop My Shxt. The 2019 single “Hibachi” [feat. YP] accelerated his momentum as The FADER named it one of the “The 10 Best New Rap Songs Right Now.” On its heels, “No Vest” popped off as he also teamed up with Yung Icey for Icey Baby. Garnering acclaim, Lyrical Lemonade wrote, “It is obvious from just one listen that Baby Plug is one of those rare talents who was put on this Earth to rap.” Along the way, he also found an early champion and mentor in multiplatinum GRAMMY® Award-winning superstar 21 Savage.
