On Friday, October 30th at 6:30 PM PST, watch singer-songwriter Eric Hirshberg perform a live stream in support of beloved LA venue Hotel Cafe. Tickets are available here on a sliding scale with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the venue. Hirshberg will be performing songs from his upcoming album, Spare Room, including singles “What You Get” and “Can’t Find The Ocean”
Hirshberg’s recent releases have dealt with the current tumultuous times since Donald Trump took office, as he began writing songs like “(Keep Mar-A-Lago) I Want America Back.” He wrote the song in the last four years to express his frustration with the current president and state of the country. “My goal with this song was not to try to convert anyone who disagrees with me. My goal was to create a sonic release valve for my unspeakable levels of frustration at the current state of things in America and to offer it up to those who do agree with me.”
His upcoming album, Spare Room, is focussed on the things in life that are both personal and universal and show Hirshberg’s ability for storytelling in lyrics. Hirshberg has said his album is about “life’s big small moments,” which is clear from his first two singles off the album.
