Today, Anna of the North releases “Lovers (Home Made)”. The stripped-down track has a lo-fi and intimate aesthetic perfectly suited for slow dancing alone in your bedroom. Anna’s dreamy vocals float atop a soft piano and ethereal instrumental. With “Lovers (Home Made)”, listeners will feel free to daydream. Anna is proving herself to be the queen of acoustic, and her homemade tracks provide musical escapism that is much needed in a time of isolation. The original version of “Lovers” is the title track of her 2017 debut album and was featured in the hit Netflix film “To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before”, propelling the song to new heights. “Lovers (Home Made)” gives fans a new, more personal take on the adored track, giving them a glimpse into Anna’s world. On the inspiration behind “Lovers (Home Made)”, Anna explains “In 2017 I released my first album. We had a good handful of songs I was really proud of. But Lovers was always the one. It naturally ended up being the title track of the album. I always had a great feeling about that song. A year later it got featured in the movie “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before”. This gave the song a new life and now it’s my biggest song with over 50 million streams. I think It’s about time it got a remake. On this one I got a bit inspired by Daniel Caesar and the waltz rhythm. Hope you enjoy it.” “Lovers (Home Made)” comes ahead of an acoustic EP, set to release in September.
On the heels of the “Lovers (Home Made)” release, Anna will be featured in Awesomeness TV’s To All The Music, a virtual concert event celebrating the vinyl release of the To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You original soundtrack, premiering July 18 at 5 p.m. PT on AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel. Hosted by Lana Condor, who stars as Lara Jean Covey in the Netflix film, To All The Music will bring the movie’s cast and musical artists together to perform hit songs from the soundtrack and give fans an inside scoop behind the music and movie. The special will also feature eight original ‘love letters’ from each musical performer to give fans exclusive insights about the songs created for the film. In addition, Awesomeness is partnering with Save The Music Foundation to help raise money toward restoring public school music programs across the country.

In addition to Anna’s “Lovers” sync, Anna was surprised to see the title track of her most recent album Dream Girl took flight, quite literally as a bird in Apple’s Global Apple iPad Pro commercial last month. In less than a week Anna was charting on iTunes in over 30+ Countries, Daily Spotify Streams doubled and overall streaming increased 187%. Just a week later, Anna was startled to hear yet another track, “Playing Games,” as she finished the first episode of the new Netflix Series ‘Never Have I Ever.’ That track has been Shazamed over 41,587 times since the Netflix release.
Anna of the North strikes an emotional chord regardless of continent, collaborator, or genre and her music has taken on an unexpected life of its’ own as it finds success in syncs.  Few modern artists could appear as at home working with Tyler, the Creator (Anna lent her vocals to two tracks on ‘Flower Boy’ alongside Steve Lacy, Frank Ocean, and Rex Orange County) and Rejjie Snow as they are duetting with HONNE or playing with Anderson Paak. All of which has led Anna to where she finds herself in now; a pop star and a fearless young woman who has perhaps always been hiding in plain sight.
