Worst Kept Secret’s amazing cover of The GooGoo Doll’s Broadway

Worst Kept Secret recently released a cover of The Goo Goo Dolls hit “Broadway”. While not as well known as other GooGoo Dolls songs, the band has captured the song in way that tops the original. Check it out here:

We reached out to the band and spoke with band member Jared, and asked what influenced Worst Kept Secret to cover this song,  this is what he had to say:

“We just love 90s music. We were all born around 1990 and we grew up 90s kids. We had been talking about doing a cover forever and one day we were just at rehearsal. We always jam random songs and we were kind of stumped writing one of our own songs and decided to take a break and I was like ‘oh I learned this (Broadway)’ and our drummer Ryan was like “yes!” Immediately. Then we just put our spin on it.  We wanted to do a song that (to our knowledge) hadn’t been done. I think there are obviously more popular goo Goo Dolls songs (iris, Slide) but we knew we could really make this one our own. We grew up fans of Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20, Third Eye Blind, Counting Crows, etc. “
