(Los Angeles, California) – Mike Schiavo – former viral contestant of NBC’s The Voice – has shared the official music video for R&B-inspired heartfelt track “Back For Me” off of his debut self-titled EP. The music video was co-directed by Mike Schiavo and Dan Brink.
“Back For Me” features a lovetorn Mike coming to terms with the end of a toxic long-term relationship.
Mike Schiavo says of the video: “It’s based heavily on personal experience. The end of the relationship that inspired the video ultimately led to many life changes including moving to L.A. to puruse my music career. The video shows a relationship in reverse as the girl looks back and comes to the realization that things could have gone differently.”
Mike Schiavo is a 22-year-old singer/songwriter raised in Colonia, New Jersey. Initially inspired by Elvis Presley, Schiavo started to perform in 2010 and thrived off of his inspiration and passion for music to find his own voice, playing acoustic driven pop-rock songs.
Mike has now found his own signature style of urban pop showcased through his YouTube channel which has received well over half a million views.
Mike’s hard work and unique talent led him to Los Angeles to chase his dream and eventually, the stage of NBC’s Emmy-winning show ‘The Voice’ on Season 10, where he quickly caught the attention of Grammy award winning artists Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams & Blake Shelton with his rendition of ‘Talking Body’ by Tove Lo.
Mike also received praise & support after the shows airing from Tove Lo herself. He landed on Team Adam after a spontaneous duet with Adam Levine singing Maroon 5 classic ‘She Will Be Loved’.
He became a quick favorite of the shows fans, with his audition video receiving over 7.5 million views on YouTube and his iTunes recording spending over a week on the Top 150 iTunes Pop Charts.
