THE FRIGHTS
APPEARING MARCH 20TH ON
NBC’s LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY

ANNOUNCE MAY TOUR DATES WITH HUNNY

MARCH 13th , 2017 – SAN DIEGO, CA: SoCal’s premiere garage/surf/punk band The Frights will appear on NBC’s Last Call With Carson Daly on March 20th at 1:35 am Eastern/Pacific time (12:35 am Central/Mountain time). The performance will be available for streaming on Hulu and NBC.com after the broadcast.

The band’s performance was filmed at their patently bonkers sold-out Valentine’s Day show that kicked off 2017 at the iconic El Rey Theatre. Regretfully, the show was not titled “You Are Going To Date This” but it was followed quickly by a 2700-seat sellout for the band’s 2nd annual You Are Going To Hate This Fest in San Diego which firmly cemented the band’s status as one of the most thrilling and loveable bands to emerge from the west coast in ages.

The Frights went into high gear with the 2016 release of You Are Going To Hate This on Dangerbird Records, followed by a year on the road with the likes of FIDLAR, The Garden, The Regrettes and SWMRS.  The tour miles sharpened The Frights’ live show while showcasing the band’s infectious catalog to new fans.  Songs like “Kids,” You Are Going To Hate This,” and “Afraid of the Dark” from the new album snuggle up next to OG Frights jams like “Crust Bucket” and “Cold” as the band sneaks in covers as wide ranging and fun as Smashmouth’s “All Star,” Weezer’s “Undone,” Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself” and Sublime’s “April 29th, 1992.”
The Frights know their punk and pop history and deliver a tenaciously exuberant live show.  Driven by singer/guitarist and principal songwriter Mikey Carnevale’s self-deprecating wisdom and innate sense of melody, Richard Dotson’s buoyant bass lines and irrepressible stage presence electrifies a performance anchored by drummer Marc Finn on the mother of all backbeats.  Yes, they are that good.
