Spinefarm Update: He Is Legend Drop New Video; Introducing Charcoal Tongue; Darke Complex Touring

He Is Legend have dropped the video for “Air Raid.” The clip premiered over at Loudwire. Watch it here.

“We’ve kept the cathartic experience of a He Is Legend show a strictly personal experience for our fans for some time now,” said singer Schuylar Croom. “Never have we hit this hard before so we decided it was due time that we showcased our live show through a music video. This video finally captures what we believe to be out best assets — all of the darkness, sexuality, chaos, and grooviness of a Legend show is encompassed amidst the rhythm of the first track our new album called ‘Air Raid.'”

He continued, “This song really highlights our passion and aggression that peppers the entirety of this new record and we couldnt be more proud. Justin Reich came out to capture this unique experience with us in a way that makes you feel like you’re right there in the mix with us. We hope our fans love it and that it turns on some new folks. See ya on the dance floor.!”

Charcoal Tongue are the latest addition to the Spinefarm Records roster. The Texas-based band has dropped the new song “Fix Me.” Listen to the song by watching the video here.

The song has only just arrived and it’s already turning heads. “Fix Me” is being featured in the SiriusXM Octane “Test Drive” poll this week.

Charcoal Tongue formed in 2015 after vocalist Chris Mora‘s suicide attempt. As a result, the band’s forthcoming, as-yet untitled Spinefarm debut plays out like the journal of a person’s thoughts as they navigate a downward spiral of depression.

“The whole year I spent writing… took me through a lot of different emotions, since I was coming off that experience,”  Mora said. “‘Fix Me’ is one of the darker songs on the record. We felt like this track displays a lot of the key elements that make up the Charcoal Tongue sound.”

For the album, the band worked with Josh Schroeder (KING 810, The Color Morale).

Charcoal Tongue are Christopher Mora — Vocals; Luciano Islas — Bass; Matt Guajardo — Guitar; and
Jacob Navaira — Keys/Vocals.
