“For Fans of: Phoenix, fun., Glass Animals.
Sounds Like: Electronic pop mixing Eighties flash, blue-eyed soul, and the ongoing search for genuine connection on a smart phone.” –Rolling Stone (10 artists you need to know)
“LANY are the alternative synth threesome out to take over not just the East and West coasts of America but the entire world…” – Wonderland
“Finding the balance between sensuality and mystery in music is a very delicate process. Some seem born with the right skill set, like the almighty Prince, effortlessly blending their melodies with the right amounts of desperation and longing. Now, [LANY] are tapping into that same rare talent…” – Consequence of Sound
“…Los Angeles-based trio LANY is quickly on the rise.” – Interview Magazine
January 13, 2017 – LANY has announced the dates of their upcoming headline tour of the U.S. this spring. The LANY Tour brings the band’s entrancing live performance to Sacramento, San Antonio, Baltimore, Indianapolis and more. Tickets are on-sale now at www.thisislany.com/tour.
The LA-based trio have amassed a huge live fanbase and in 2016 alone played a total of 117 shows across twelve countries, selling over 32,000 tickets. With 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and combined streams of 60 million, LANY is the most streamed artist of all time through the Spotify Discover feature with “i love you so bad” also holding the title of the most streamed song of all time through Spotify Discover.
LANY continue to make music that aims an arrow at your heart; beautiful songs with swashes of synth, spare percussion, echoes of prime 1980s FM pop, of early-1990s R&B, of new-wave electronica, combining melody and lyrics to put down roots in your head.
Recorded in a tiny room on an ancient laptop, their songs are devastating and beautiful, in a way that you can’t quite explain.
LANY look set to continue their rapid ascent in 2017 with the release of their eagerly-awaited debut album. Stay tuned for more news on LANY and for additional information, please visit www.thisislany.com.
