The release of “Stay” follows the band’s recent cover of EdSheeran’s “ShapeofYou“. The cover song premiered last month with Popsugar, who wrote, “We’d jam out to Ed Sheeran’s version in the car, but this is the mix you’d want on at the club.” Both these recent releases represent a departure for the band, as they take on more electronic and experimental elements than previously heard.
Drawing North is composed of Michael ‘Po’ Pogson (lead vocals), DrewSouthwell (piano, drums, guitar, vocals) and JakeAllen (bass, guitar, drums). Since forming in 2010, the three friends have constantly been at work, whether it be booking their own 40-date school tour of Australia, recording acoustic releases endorsed by JoelMadden of GoodCharlotte or playing festivals such as SXSW, SundanceFilmFestival, AustraliaCelebratesLive, VansWarpedTourAustralia and GroovinTheMoo.
