Berlin-based electronic-rock duo Bullet Height, featuring Sammi Doll of IAMX and Jon Courtney of Pure Reason Revolution, is pleased to reveal its anthemic new single, “Wild Words.” Debuted via a performance-based lyric video, “Wild Words” is the latest track to be taken from their explosive debut album No Atonement, which is set for release on May 19, 2017 via Superball Music(Century Label Group/Sony).

Listen to the brand new track “Wild Words” via its lyric video below:

Bullet Height explains, “‘Wild Words’ was one of the first tracks recorded for No Atonement and it took on different forms as the album progressed. It began as a stripped down piano song and morphed into something much bigger. We filmed the video footage at our studio amongst blitzkrieg lights and then launched it over to visual whiz Miles Skarin for further ocular mutation.”

A heady mix of electronica and towering, dark guitars, the new single borrows from the likes of contemporaries AFI, Muse, and Enter Shikari to create a sprawling, freshly baroque take on modern rock, with a gargantuan chorus that showcases a duo destined for massive stages.

Sammi Doll’s ethereal, melodic vocals are an alluring mix of tones from the LA rock scene – where she cut her teeth – and the underworld of Berlin. Bandmate Jon Courtney brings his experimental production and astute songwriting, expertly weaving echoes of the groundbreaking electronica of Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys into his work. The combination of the two results in an irresistible electronic-rock sound.

Including the band’s two previous singles, “Bastion” and “Hold Together,” the album features 10 tracks that fuse together industrialized electronica, dark avant-garde, heavy guitars, and heartbreakingly sweet melodies.

Wild Words” is available as an instant download, along with “Hold Together,” when fans pre-order No Atonement. The album is available for digital pre-order here.

About Bullet Height:
“I left London, moved to Berlin, rented a dirt cheap room in an old DDR building and started battering out the music that would go on to become Bullet Height,” says Jon Courtney, speaking about the dispersal of his former band Pure Reason Revolution. “I wanted to produce something darker and heavier than I’d ever created.”

“I left Los Angeles and moved to Berlin,” Sammi Doll explains. “It was to join IAMX on tour. But when the singer, Chris Corner, fell ill, it was cancelled. Which was when I met Jon. Without a direction in a new city, recording this album granted me the headspace to channel a lot of personal demons into something simultaneously positive, dark and alluring.”

A recording contract with Superball Music (part of the Sony Music group of labels) followed suit and whilst putting the finishing touches to the album, Bullet Height began gigging to an enthusiastic Berlin underground.

“It’s been quite the journey since we’ve completed the album,” comments Sammi Doll. “Everything from the mixes to forming the live element. It’s shaped into something much bigger than we both expected.” And Courtney concurs. “Now that we’re playing shows it all feels real. We’re excited at the prospect of expanding out from the Berlin scene and getting out there.”

Like the best of artists, fear is the only thing they fear. Free living and creating on their own terms is the fuel in both their tanks. Together they’ve reached Bullet Height. A product of expatriate London, set in dissident Berlin. Circa 2017.
