LOS ANGELES, CA | APRIL 7, 2017: Today, multi-platinum recording artist Blake Healy (Metro Station) is debuting his new musical project, Lemon Cake, with the release of a catchy indie pop/rock track titled “Talk To Me” over on Paste Magazine. Having been part of a successful major label band, Blake Healy brings to the table world-tested and approved songwriting experience. Though Lemon Cake is more indie-focused than his previous project, the pop influence undoubtedly shines through with its infectious hooks. Lemon Cake’s goal is to “make the world a better place one sunny day at a time,” and it is quite obvious to anyone who listens to them that the band is doing just that. “Talk to Me” is an infectious rock-based track about wanting to get a more intense feeling – whether it’s love, music, or anything else that thrills you and gives you a “buzz.” The single was written by Jason Wade (Lifehouse), Marc Scibilia, and Blake Healy at Fonogenic Studios in Van Nuys. Here is what Blake Healy had to say about the release:
“This song is the sound of three friends getting together to make something fun. We went into this songwriting process hopped up on caffeine and good vibes and this was the result. We can’t wait for the world to hear it!.” – Blake Healy, Lemon Cake
