“‘Imaginary Friends’ is a personal anthem that draws from a well of escapism,” explains Des Rocs. “For me this song brings up all the darkest parts of myself – the journey of the last few years – and deals with all that darkness in one sort of manic exhale.”
Last month, Des Rocs released “MMC,” the first single from the forthcoming album. The track received instant praise from Loudwire (“addictive”) and Consequence of Sound (“infectious and eclectic”), as well as Rolling Stone and SPIN. In an interview with Des, Alternative Press raved about the “groundbreaking” single: “With fierce, intense vocals and seductively harsh instrumentals, listeners will be taken on a whirlwind of classic-rock-influenced alternative rock that will leave your heart racing and eager to hear the rest of the album.”

Des will also be performing at Firefly Music Festival on September 25 in Dover, DE, featuring Billie Eilish, Tame Impala and Lizzo, and at the sold out Aftershock Festival on October 8 alongside Metallica, Rancid, and more.
