Industrial pop magistrates AESTHETIC PERFECTION have revealed the new track “S E X,” the first of the band’s 12 singles in 12 months project, available today.
“I want your sex!” So goes the deafening chant in the new single from the Los Angeles outfit. Singer Daniel Graves croons, growls and screams his way through a sultry, mid-tempo groove supported by chugging guitar riffs provided by Sebastian Svalland, the Swedish virtuoso known for his work in PAIN, In Mourning and LINDEMANN.
“S E X” continues in the industrial metal tradition of AESTHETIC PERFECTION tracks like “Rhythm + Control” while expanding on Graves’ broadening vocal and production horizons. The single also contains a blistering dark electro club remix by MORIS BLAK.
Graves and Svalland met in 2020 on the LINDEMANN (the side project of Till Lindemann of Rammstein) European tour on which AESTHETIC PERFECTION was supporting. “I spent that entire tour completely blown away by Sebastian’s skills not only as a performer, but as a musician,” Graves says. “When I reached out to him about a possible collaboration, I was thrilled that he was on board!”
Svalland expresses equal measures of enthusiasm when reminiscing on the project: “This was a fun experience for me, something completely different from what I usually do and I think the outcome is so good it might possibly lead to world peace!”
“S E X” has already been added to the Industrial Metal and New Metal Tracks playlists on Spotify
The 12 singles in 12 months project is being fully funded by my AESTHETIC PERFECTION’s supporters. Since forming AESTHETIC PERFECTION nearly two decades ago, producer Graves has released five full-length albums, numerous singles and music videos, all the while reinventing what it means to be a dark electro artist. Blending industrial, pop, goth, and everything in between, AESTHETIC PERFECTION defies definitions in a world that demands them.
