LISTEN / SHARE “SUMMER BABIES”:
JULY 28, 2020 — Newcomer Bear Kittay shares his debut single “Summer Babies” featuring Erlend Øye from Kings of Convenience and Whitest Boy Alive, via El Ganzo Records. The recording took place at El Ganzo Hotel in Mexico, where the California guitar player and singer has been helping run the hotel for over a year. In recent months, he’s orchestrated a slew of livestreams with El Ganzo, which also has a recording studio for artists. Talents have included Third Eye Blind, LP, Ximena Sariñana and more.
“Summer Babies” is a fresh indie rock song that comes just in time to help boost positive vibes amidst the ongoing worldwide pandemic and of course, the mid-summer heat. The music bloomed from the heart in a collaborative effort with Erlend and many others who have banded together in El Ganzo’s recording studio during quarantine. Looking to offer people a source of happiness and a smile, “Summer Babies” came to life as a way to connect with others, extend their community, and radiate energy. With a pounding beat and life affirming lyric, “the journey will set us free,” the catchy song is bound to become a fan favorite.

ABOUT BEAR KITTAY:
More than anything, Bear is a curious life-explorer with a penchant for going off the beaten-track and uplifting the eccentric. Appropriately, he learned sitar and studied ethnomusicology at Oberlin and has played at truly some of the most random music venues of world, from the clubs in Buenos Aires to Buddhist monasteries in the Himalayas, evangelical churches in the rural Midwest and on the top of a giant Dodo Bird at Burning Man. He has collaborated with a myriad of artists including Alex Ebert (Edward Sharpe), The North Mississippi Allstars, Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), and recently joined Norwegian sensation Erlend Øye (Kings of Convenience, Whitest Boy Alive) in a new project that will debut soon.
